Ms. Woldeab is Chief Accounting Officer and a Managing Director for the Civitas Capital Group. She is responsible for financial planning and budgeting for Civitas Capital Group and its affiliates. As CAO she oversees the accounting, financial reporting, audit, tax, and treasury functions of the firm’s Lodging Investments group, which includes acquisition and development of select and limited service hotels.
Before joining Civitas, Ms. Woldeab was at Texas Instruments, Inc. for over 12 years where she held several positions in Financial Planning and Management, Accounting and Financial Reporting, including most recently leading the preparation of the company’s Annual Plan and quarterly updates. She has a strong compliance background in GAAP, SOX 404 and SEC reporting and has led multiple teams focused on implementing accounting, financial and operational policies, and procedures. She has also served as a controller for the Texas Instruments Foundation, a non-profit foundation.
She started her career at the Harvey Hotels in Dallas, where she was the Assistant Controller. She was also a Regional Accountant for Bristol Hotels, where she oversaw the accounting and reporting process of five full-service and limited-service hotels in three states.
Ms. Woldeab holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Masters of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
